I wish i had very big arms to embrace y'all at a time....you guys are wonderful! Words cannot express how i feel every time i see your comment on my blog. Really.....Thanks for your support always ....i love y'all.

As i ponder on what to discuss with you today, the title dropped on my mind. As a scholar of International Relations,Peace was once a topic in my class.And i remember vividly how we argued and elaborated on the word 'Peace'.

Peace means a lot of things.Tranquility,calmness,quiet, silence,stillness and more. Peace could also mean a state,time or period when there is no WAR. The latter shows that 'PEACE' could also be seen as the antonym for 'WAR'. This is another big subject but,i'd just like to share my point of view.
This week has been a different one,all over the world and in our country Nigeria. We have seen three different plane crashes this week,Three different bomb blast,all claiming many lives, today makes it a hundred and three days that the chibok girls have been held in captivity,A plane went missing yesterday or so,just before i left work last night i gathered that an Ebola virus  patient is now in Lagos. Gosh! Only this week?

I know you may want to feel like,Thank God my family members are  not involved in all these ordeals, Yes thank God! Mine too. We say our thanks and move on with our lives. But do we ever stop to think about those ones who lost a Dad, a very close friend, a colleague,a sister,Children or child? I feel it is only appropriate for us all to have a sober reflection on all these happenings...Wait! is God angry with the world or something? I ask myself at times. God we need PEACE,come give us your kind of peace.

God have mercy on us all. May the soul of the departed,Rest in Peace.May God also give their families the fortitude to bear the loss...Amen.

Fine ,we all derive our peace from different things in life.For some, it's being able to have a three square meal,for some, it's the fact that they are able to ride the car/cars of their dreams,for some it's children,For some it's being married to the persons of their dreams. it could be anything really.

However,all these are personal to all individuals.Come to think of it, how do we relate with other people around us? Our attitude, our body movements,countenances,our thoughts towards our fellow men and women. I feel all these things and more are responsible for existence of peace among us.

I'll say lets work towards being at peace with people around us first. Love thy neighbor as thyself,so the Holy book says. You don't know How far your 'Good Morning' can go. Say sorry if you are wrong. Put a smile on someone's face today,Show people around you that you care for them. Lend a listening ear to people when they want to reach out to you, render help to people in need,pray for your country cos you are the country.

As we are going on eid fitri break,Let's show love to our Muslim brothers and sisters,send gifts to them if you can. Let us imbibe a peaceful attitude in all situations and at all times.

I wish all my Muslim brothers,Happy Eid Fitri...i hope am correct....lol. Lets have a very wonderful weekend and  holiday. I know I am going to boogie down and also have a time of my life 'coz I am going to hangout with my folks. enough gist....wink...

MUSIC IS LIFE

                                                   

So far so good we are moving forward guys. I have been receiving interesting responses from people and I am really enjoying it.Thank you guys for sharing your thoughts with me .I really appreciate you all ....muah!

Music,Music,Music,hmmmmm.....someone once said 'if music is the food for the soul, let it play'. The most universal language ever spoken on planet earth. A very important part of our daily lives.Wonder what life would be without it. spookie...maybe?lol..Our perceptions deffer when it comes to music so feel free to share how you feel.  Won't like to bore you with definitions of music, just want to share my thoughts briefly on the subject matter.

Yes, I love music so much. Every genre that ever existed. I sing and I harmonize very well. Though i like some genre more than the others. For instance, you will find me listening to some Soul and 'RnB' most often than you find me listening to 'Makosa' loool. My  love for Brandy Norwood ,Chris Brown,Mariah Carey,Late Withney Houston, Anthony Hamilton ,Baby face, Boyz2men will never die. I love these artistes for their tunes,harmonies,ad libs and octaves.

 I grew up in a house of music,where my dad bought all kinds of music,he bought everything that sounded nice. we go from the great pop icon Late Micheal Joe Jackson, 'off the wall' and BAD to Bob Marley and the wailers,Lucky Dube, Jill Scott, Aretha Franklin,Tracy Chapman.We had all the latest albums from Chief Ebenezer Obey,King Sunny Ade,Orlando Owoh,Sir Shina Peters,Yvonne Chakchaka, Late Mariam Makeba, Lagbaja, Kwam 1 to mention but a few.

As a young girl, i enjoyed the tunes from these artistes and did lots of sing along with my siblings.In fact, the memories are evergreen.Those were good old days,it felt so good and we had fun.

Life experiences and maturity soon changed that thought. It came to my realization that music is more than the rhythm and the instruments. It is deep. It is sometimes the combination of the state of mind of the artiste and his/her personal experience.Sometimes these thoughts matches ours and we feel it more than the next listener. We listen to some types of music when we are happy and we also listen to some when sad. It depends on our state of mind.

For me music is a lot, it's a hiding place when i am going through things, it helps when i need to be inspired and more. I feel i speak for everyone when i say music is a reminder of happenings and times of our  lives.

I was with a colleague yesterday when a song came up on her system and  she briefly told me her experience about the song.She had recalled that it was the song her friend's dad  kept singing when he lost his wife to cancer some years back.(Babyface-everytime i close my eyes ft Mariah Carey) . Touching, if you ask me...it got me thinking a lot about  thoughts that were running through his mind at that time in his life.

It is true we cannot do without music.So,i'd like to know,what music means to you?What genre do you like,who are your fave artistes,What does it do for you,What do you remember when you hear a particular song?

Hey everyone, how was your weekend? Hope you rested and  had fun ? It was a nice weekend for me, i rested and did almost everything on my to-do, Also saw think like a man too, very Hilarious, If you have not seen that movie then you don't know what you are missing.

Well, y'all might be wondering.... why i am...but really, i believe i have every reason to be thankful to God and be Happy. The fact that i am alive and kicking, breathing without support, i have a life, am independent, am not hospitalized or mortuarialized...na my own English ooo.... i.e am not in the mortuary loool. Abeg ehn, give thanks for your own ooo.....i started this year with  many people and they are not here anymore...i know am not righteouser?#% ...another one? ,richer or prettier than the dead. It's all by the Grace of the Almighty God that i am alive today. HE KEPT ME!

I do not have everything i want though, But i am hopeful that it will all come to me....He makes everything beautiful in his own time. Am contended with all i have and am grateful. Don't be an ingrate,Be Thankful for all you have. Be HAPPY! cos when you are the devil wont be Happy, your haters too.....tongue out....lol....And you'll just see everything working out in your favor.

Well it's Monday again and we are all back to hustling as usual. Am starting this week with a new look and a fresh mind. I have a great feeling about this week. I feel it will be productive and that i will meet all my work target .what about you? Let's share happiness...cheers guys...

THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY!!!

                                                     

First of all,(introduction).....looool....(clearing my throat)... i will like to use this medium to express my heart felt gratitude to everyone who read and commented on my first blog ever. i love you all so much.THANK YOU! as read this and leave comments too.

Heave a sigh of relief people, its Friday again...yay! Gosh i love Fridays. I do lots of stuffs on Fridays. I reflect on the week, look forward to what the weekend will look like...go to the beach on Saturday or movies for Sunday?, shop/window shop on Saturday or laundry  on Sunday? cook a nice soup stay home and watch my fave series on DSTV or go check on a friend have not seen in a while? Hangout with girlfriends or sleep the day away to refresh my self? Read a book i have been meaning to or go to the gym for some exercise?Go for an event or whatever.. and also think where to club later in the night....... if am not too tired oo....wink... Truly the time is never enough to do all these and sometimes i find myself looking through my to-do list on Sunday night with a frown cos i have not done most of the thing i planned to do.

But thankfully i  have  two good nights to sleep until day break.....


Funny its a day when you see people wear their native attires and some seems to look old....lol..wait!...have you ever wondered why they  dress that way on Fridays only?.... someone once told me that they wear it to show that weekend has started.....really?....what are you wearing today? Yours truly is wearing a green denim with a teal top. Don't get me wrong i love native attires, but only when they smartly sown  into a style that will make me look dashing plus i believe i should wear  it any day i feel  like.

I know  we shall all enjoy this ride as we begin this journey together.
